ANIME: A Brief History
Anime, which is Japanese animated entertainment, has a history that goes back over a hundred years. It started in the early 1900s, influenced by Western cartoons.
The first Japanese anime is often said to be "Namakura Gatana" by Jun'ichi Kōuchi in 1917. But it was after World War II that anime really started to take off. Osamu Tezuka, known as the "God of Manga," played a big part in this. He created "Astro Boy" in 1963, which became very popular in Japan and around the world.
During the 1970s and 1980s, anime became more diverse. There were robot suits (mecha), magical girls, and space adventures like "Mobile Suit Gundam," "Sailor Moon," and "Space Battleship Yamato."
In the 1990s, anime became even more famous worldwide with shows like "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Dragon Ball Z." Today, anime continues to grow with series like "Attack on Titan," "One Piece," and "My Hero Academia."
Anime is now a big part of global culture, influencing not just entertainment but also fashion, art, and more.
